Elementary Spanish (1st-4th grade)
This class designed specifically for the elementary crowd is meant to help the students understand that Spanish is fun! They will learn it through immersion in the language, songs, and stories. The focus will be on learning colors, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, animals, weather, and many other things. Students will be using Spanish in class every day, and we will encourage basic conversation. English will only be used as a support for learning, but the class will mainly be conducted in Spanish. Students will also learn some basic writing rules in Spanish, such as spelling lists of vocabulary and some simple sentences. The students will learn to read short sentences and work to reading longer selections in Spanish.
This class is offered remotely over zoom on Mondays from 9:00-9:45 OR in-person on Wednesdays from 10:00-10:45
Spanish 1 (5th-12th grade)
This class is meant for students that have never taken a Spanish class before. Students will learn the basics of vocabulary and sentence formation, and some basic grammar. The focus of the class will be on language they need to use in everyday life and for travel survival. The class will be conducted mostly in Spanish with English support.

Spanish 2 (6th-12th grade)
This class is meant for students that have taken at least one year of Spanish before. The class will be conducted mostly in Spanish, with a focus on conversation and getting more comfortable talking and comprehending oral language. We will work on vocabulary needed in everyday life and for travel survival. Students will also begin writing short sentences and work to writing full paragraphs by the end of the year. We will also read short selections and stories to work on recognizing the sounds and spelling of Spanish. Placement in this class at the discretion of Señora West.
This class is offered remotely over zoom on Mondays from 12:30-1:30 OR in-person on Wednesdays from 12:30-1:30
Advance Spanish 3/4(6th-12th grade)
This class is meant for students that have good working conversational ability in Spanish and have a good grasp on basic vocabulary, but are looking for some refinement of grammar, speaking, and writing. The class is conducted entirely in Spanish, with very limited English support. During each class session, we will work with vocabulary and grammar based around certain themes. Vocabulary and grammar will be presented first, then we will have conversation practice with that topic for the rest of the class period. Students will also learn in depth about the culture of the Spanish speaking world, and we may do some cooking and art creation during class time. Placement in this class at the discretion of Señora West.
This class meets twice a week remotely on Monday 11:00-12:00 AND Wednesday 11:00-12:00 in-person or remotely

Elementary Spanish and Spanish 1 have a monthly program fee of $37
Spanish 2 has a monthly program fee of $50
Spanish 3/4 has a monthly program fee of $78
In-person learners have a one time material fee of $10
