Sewing 1 and 2

Sewing 1 Ages 11+(session 1)
In this 10 week introduction to sewing course we will dive into all the skills needed to design and create some amazing fabric projects. Students will learn how to properly use a sewing machine, measure and cut fabric, make simple alterations, and sew projects from scratch. We will build upon skills week to week to create sewn project the students won't believe they were able to complete themselves.
Necessary skills required include: proper scissor usage, basic knowledge of the metric system, and a willingness to learn something new and exciting.
Sewing 2 Ages 11+ (session 2)
This class will be split into 2, 5-week sessions. In the first session we will be making a backpack, and in the second, we will be making a wallet or makeup bag. The projects are designed to challenge and learn new skills. Because of this, it is recommended that the participants take sewing 1 first, or have previous sewing experience.

Class Schedule
These 10 week classes run Wednesdays from 11:30-1:30
Session 1 September 15, 2024-November 23, 2024
Session 2 December 2, 2024- February 28, 2025
Session 3 March 2, 2025- May 16, 2025
*Dates may be pushed if snow cancellation over the winter pushes Session 2 classes

Sewing classes have a monthly program fee of $78 .
